BNV : মাত্র বারো বছর বয়সে যিহূদার রাজা হয়ে রাজা মনঃশি 55 বছর জেরুশালেমে রাজত্ব করেছিলেন|
KJV : Manasseh [was] twelve years old when he began to reign, and he reigned fifty and five years in Jerusalem:
YLT : A son of twelve years is Manasseh in his reigning, and fifty and five years he hath reigned in Jerusalem;

BNV : মনঃশি প্রভুর বিরুদ্ধাচরণ করেছিলেন| যে সমস্ত জাতির লোকদের প্রভু ইস্রায়েলীয়রা আসার আগে পাপাচরণের জন্য তাদের ভূখণ্ড থেকে উত্‌খাত করেছিলেন, মনঃশি তাদের অনুসৃত ভযানক ও জঘন্য পথে জীবনযাপন করেন|
KJV : But did [that which was] evil in the sight of the LORD, like unto the abominations of the heathen, whom the LORD had cast out before the children of Israel.
YLT : and he doth the evil thing in the eyes of Jehovah, like the abominations of the nations that Jehovah dispossessed from the presence of the sons of Israel,
RV : And he did that which was evil in the sight of the LORD, after the abominations of the heathen, whom the LORD cast out before the children of Israel.
RSV : He did what was evil in the sight of the LORD, according to the abominable practices of the nations whom the LORD drove out before the people of Israel.

BNV : মনঃশি আবার নতুন করে তাঁর পিতার ভেঙ্গে দেওয়া উচ্চস্থান বানানো ছাড়াও বাল দেবতার বেদী ও দেবী আশেরার খুঁটি বসিযেছিলেন| আকাশের নক্ষত্ররাজির সামনেও তিনি মাথা নত করেন ও তাদের পূজো করেন|
KJV : For he built again the high places which Hezekiah his father had broken down, and he reared up altars for Baalim, and made groves, and worshipped all the host of heaven, and served them.
YLT : and he turneth and buildeth the high places that Hezekiah his father hath broken down, and raiseth altars for Baalim, and maketh shrines, and boweth himself to all the host of the heavens, and serveth them.
RV : For he built again the high places which Hezekiah his father had broken down; and he reared up altars for the Baalim, and made Asheroth, and worshipped all the host of heaven, and served them.

ERVEN : Manasseh rebuilt the high places that his father Hezekiah had broken down. Manasseh built altars for the Baal gods and made Asherah poles. He bowed down to the constellations and worshiped those groups of stars.

BNV : প্রভুর মন্দিরে, জেরুশালেমে যে মন্দিরে প্রভু আজীবন তাঁর উপস্থিতির চিহ্ন প্রকাশের বাসনা করেছিলেন, সেই মন্দিরে মনঃশি মূর্ত্তিদের বেদী স্থাপন করেছিলেন|
KJV : Also he built altars in the house of the LORD, whereof the LORD had said, In Jerusalem shall my name be for ever.
YLT : And he hath built altars in the house of Jehovah of which Jehovah had said, `In Jerusalem is My name to the age.`
RV : And he built altars in the house of the LORD, whereof the LORD said, In Jerusalem shall my name be forever.

ERVEN : Manasseh built altars for false gods in the Lord's Temple. The Lord said about the Temple, "My name will be in Jerusalem forever."

BNV : প্রভুর মন্দিরের দুটো উঠোনে মনঃশি আকাশের তারকারাজির জন্য বেদী স্থাপন করেছিলেন|

BNV : বিন্হিন্নোমের উপত্যকায, তিনি তাঁর নিজের সন্তানদের আগুনে উত্সর্গ করেছিলেন| তিনি ভবিষ্যত্‌ দ্রষ্টা, মোহক, য়ৌগিক ও মাযাএযিার মাধ্যমেও দুষ্ট আত্মা, প্রেতাত্মা ও যাদুকরদের সহায়তায তাঁর মনঃস্কামনা পূর্ণ করতে চেয়েছিলেন| এইরকম নানাভাবে প্রভুর বিরুদ্ধাচরণ করে তিনি প্রভুকে রুদ্ধ করে তুলেছিলেন|
KJV : And he caused his children to pass through the fire in the valley of the son of Hinnom: also he observed times, and used enchantments, and used witchcraft, and dealt with a familiar spirit, and with wizards: he wrought much evil in the sight of the LORD, to provoke him to anger.
YLT : And he hath caused his sons to pass over through fire in the valley of the son of Hinnom, and observed clouds and used enchantments and witchcraft, and dealt with a familiar spirit, and a wizard; he hath multiplied to do the evil thing in the eyes of Jehovah, to provoke him to anger.

ERVEN : He also burned his own children for a sacrifice in the Valley of Ben Hinnom. He also used magic by doing soothsaying, divination, and sorcery. He talked with mediums and wizards. He did many things that the Lord said were wrong, and this made the Lord angry.

BNV : তিনি মন্দিরে এক মূর্ত্তি স্থাপন করেছিলেন যেখানে প্রভু দায়ূদ ও তাঁর পুত্র শলোমনের কাছে ঘোষণা করেছিলেন, “আমি এই মন্দিরে এবং ইস্রায়েলের সমস্ত অঞ্চলগুলির মধ্যে থেকে যাকে মনোনীত করেছি সেই জেরুশালেমে আমার নাম চিরকাল রাখব| সেই মন্দিরে তিনি একটি মূর্ত্তি স্থাপন করলেন|
KJV : And he set a carved image, the idol which he had made, in the house of God, of which God had said to David and to Solomon his son, In this house, and in Jerusalem, which I have chosen before all the tribes of Israel, will I put my name for ever:

ERVEN : Manasseh also made a statue of an idol and put it in God's Temple—the very same Temple that God had talked about to David and his son Solomon. God had said, "I will put my name in this house and in Jerusalem—the city that I chose from all the cities in all the tribes—and my name will be there forever!

BNV : আমি মোশিকে যে বিধি ও নির্দেশগুলি দিয়েছিলাম শুধু যদি ইস্রায়েলীয়রা সেগুলি পালন করে তাহলে আমি তোমাদের পূর্বপুরুষকে যে জমি দিয়েছিলাম তা কখনো আবার ফিরিযে নেব না|”
KJV : Neither will I any more remove the foot of Israel from out of the land which I have appointed for your fathers; so that they will take heed to do all that I have commanded them, according to the whole law and the statutes and the ordinances by the hand of Moses.
YLT : and I add not to turn aside the foot of Israel from off the ground that I appointed to your fathers, only, if they watch to do all that I have commanded them -- to all the law, and the statutes, and the ordinances by the hand of Moses.`

ERVEN : I will not continue to keep the Israelites off the land that I chose to give to their ancestors. But they must obey everything I commanded them. The Israelites must obey all the laws, rules, and commands that I gave Moses to give to them."

BNV : কিন্তু যিহোশূয়র সময় প্রভু যে জাতিগুলিকে ধ্বংস করেছিলেন মনঃশি যিহূদা ও জেরুশালেমের লোকদের, তার থেকেও বেশী পাপাচরণে প্রবৃত্ত করেছিলেন|
KJV : So Manasseh made Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem to err, [and] to do worse than the heathen, whom the LORD had destroyed before the children of Israel.
YLT : And Manasseh maketh Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem to err, to do evil above the nations that Jehovah destroyed from the presence of the sons of Israel.
RV : And Manasseh made Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem to err, so that they did evil more than did the nations, whom the LORD destroyed before the children of Israel.

ERVEN : Manasseh encouraged the people of Judah and the people living in Jerusalem to do wrong. They were worse than the nations that were in the land before the Israelites—and the Lord destroyed those people.

BNV : প্রভু মনঃশি ও তাঁর প্রজাদের সতর্ক করলেও তাঁরা তাঁর কথায় কর্ণপাত করলেন না|
KJV : And the LORD spake to Manasseh, and to his people: but they would not hearken.
YLT : And Jehovah speaketh unto Manasseh and unto his people, and they have not attended,

BNV : তখন প্রভু অশূররাজের সৈন্যাধ্যক্ষদের দিয়ে মনঃশির রাজত্ব আক্রমণ করালেন| এই সৈন্যাধ্যক্ষরা মনঃশিকে বন্দী করে তাঁর হাতে পাযে বেড়ি পরিযে, শেকলে বেঁধে তাঁকে বাবিলে নিয়ে গেলেন|
KJV : Wherefore the LORD brought upon them the captains of the host of the king of Assyria, which took Manasseh among the thorns, and bound him with fetters, and carried him to Babylon.
YLT : and Jehovah bringeth in against them the heads of the host that the king of Asshur hath, and they capture Manasseh among the thickets, and bind him with brazen fetters, and cause him to go to Babylon.
RV : Wherefore the LORD brought upon them the captains of the host of the king of Assyria, which took Manasseh in chains, and bound him with fetters, and carried him to Babylon.
RSV : Therefore the LORD brought upon them the commanders of the army of the king of Assyria, who took Manasseh with hooks and bound him with fetters of bronze and brought him to Babylon.
ASV : Wherefore Jehovah brought upon them the captains of the host of the king of Assyria, who took Manasseh in chains, and bound him with fetters, and carried him to Babylon.
ESV : Therefore the LORD brought upon them the commanders of the army of the king of Assyria, who captured Manasseh with hooks and bound him with chains of bronze and brought him to Babylon.
ERVEN : So the Lord brought commanders from the king of Assyria's army to attack Judah. These commanders captured Manasseh and made him their prisoner. They put hooks in him and brass chains on his hands and took him to the country of Babylon.

BNV : তারপর, যখন তিনি মহা সঙ্কটে পড়লেন, তখন মনঃশি প্রভু তাঁর ঈশ্বরের কাছে প্রার্থনা করলেন এবং গভীরভাবে তার পূর্বপুরুষের ঈশ্বরের কাছে নিজেকে অবনত করলেন|
KJV : And when he was in affliction, he besought the LORD his God, and humbled himself greatly before the God of his fathers,

BNV : তিনি ঈশ্বরের কাছে প্রার্থনা করলেন এবং সাহায্য চাইলেন| ঈশ্বর তার প্রার্থনা শুনলেন এবং তার অনুরোধ রাখলেন এবং তিনি তাঁকে জেরুশালেমে, তাঁর রাজত্বে ফিরে গিয়ে তাঁর সিংহাসনে বসতে দিলেন| মনঃশি বুঝতে পারলেন যে প্রভুই প্রকৃত ঈশ্বর|
KJV : And prayed unto him: and he was intreated of him, and heard his supplication, and brought him again to Jerusalem into his kingdom. Then Manasseh knew that the LORD he [was] God.
YLT : and prayeth unto Him, and He is entreated of him, and heareth his supplication, and bringeth him back to Jerusalem, to his kingdom, and Manasseh knoweth that Jehovah -- He [is] God.
RV : And he prayed unto him; and he was entreated of him, and heard his supplication, and brought him again to Jerusalem into his kingdom. Then Manasseh knew that the LORD he was God.
RSV : He prayed to him, and God received his entreaty and heard his supplication and brought him again to Jerusalem into his kingdom. Then Manasseh knew that the LORD was God.
ASV : And he prayed unto him; and he was entreated of him, and heard his supplication, and brought him again to Jerusalem into his kingdom. Then Manasseh knew that Jehovah he was God.
ESV : He prayed to him, and God was moved by his entreaty and heard his plea and brought him again to Jerusalem into his kingdom. Then Manasseh knew that the LORD was God.
ERVEN : Manasseh prayed to God and begged God to help him. The Lord heard his begging and felt sorry for him, so the Lord let him return to Jerusalem and to his throne. Then Manasseh knew that the Lord was the true God.

BNV : এ ঘটনার পর মনঃশি নগরীর বাইরে আরেকটি পাঁচিল তুললেন| এই দেওয়ালটি গীহোন ঝর্ণার পশ্চিম প্রান্তের কিদ্রোণ উপত্যকা থেকে ওফেল পর্বতের মত্‌সদ্বার পর্য়ন্ত বিস্তৃত হল| এবারের পাঁচিলগুলো খুব উঁচু করে বানানো হয়| এরপর মনঃশি যিহূদার সমস্ত দুর্গবেষ্টিত শহরে সেনাপতিসমূহ নিযোগ করেন|
KJV : Now after this he built a wall without the city of David, on the west side of Gihon, in the valley, even to the entering in at the fish gate, and compassed about Ophel, and raised it up a very great height, and put captains of war in all the fenced cities of Judah.
YLT : And after this he hath built an outer wall to the city of David, on the west of Gihon, in the valley, and at the entering in at the fish-gate, and it hath gone round to the tower, and he maketh it exceeding high, and he putteth heads of the force in all the cities of the bulwarks in Judah.
RV : Now after this he built an outer wall to the city of David, on the west side of Gihon, in the valley, even to the entering in at the fish gate; and he compassed about Ophel, and raised it up a very great height: and he put valiant captains in all the fenced cities of Judah.

ASV : Now after this he built an outer wall to the city of David, on the west side of Gihon, in the valley, even to the entrance at the fish gate; and he compassed Ophel about with it, and raised it up to a very great height: and he put valiant captains in all the fortified cities of Judah.
ESV : Afterward he built an outer wall for the city of David west of Gihon, in the valley, and for the entrance into the Fish Gate, and carried it around Ophel, and raised it to a very great height. He also put commanders of the army in all the fortified cities in Judah.
ERVEN : After that happened, Manasseh built an outer wall for the City of David. This wall went to the west of Gihon Spring in Kidron Valley, to the entrance of the Fish Gate, and around the hill of Ophel. He made the wall very tall. Then he put officers in all the fortresses in Judah.

BNV : তিনি সমস্ত মূর্ত্তি ও প্রতিকৃতিগুলি প্রভুর মন্দির থেকে সরিয়ে ফেলেন এবং মন্দিরের পর্বতের ওপর এবং জেরুশালেমে তাঁর বানানো বেদীগুলিও ভেঙে শহরের বাইরে ফেলে দিলেন|
KJV : And he took away the strange gods, and the idol out of the house of the LORD, and all the altars that he had built in the mount of the house of the LORD, and in Jerusalem, and cast [them] out of the city.
YLT : And he turneth aside the gods of the stranger, and the idol, out of the house of Jehovah, and all the altars that he had built in the mount of the house of Jehovah and in Jerusalem, and casteth [them] to the outside of the city.
RV : And he took away the strange gods, and the idol out of the house of the LORD, and all the altars that he had built in the mount of the house of the LORD, and in Jerusalem, and cast them out of the city.
RSV : And he took away the foreign gods and the idol from the house of the LORD, and all the altars that he had built on the mountain of the house of the LORD and in Jerusalem, and he threw them outside of the city.

ESV : And he took away the foreign gods and the idol from the house of the LORD, and all the altars that he had built on the mountain of the house of the LORD and in Jerusalem, and he threw them outside of the city.
ERVEN : Manasseh took away the strange idol gods, and he took the idol out of the Lord's Temple. He took away all the altars he had built on the Temple hill, and in Jerusalem. Manasseh threw all the altars out of the city of Jerusalem.

BNV : তারপর তিনি প্রভুর জন্য বেদীটি উদ্ধার করলেন এবং মঙ্গল নৈবেদ্য ও ধন্যবাদ জ্ঞাপন-সূচক নৈবেদ্য অর্পণ করলেন এবং যিহূদার সমস্ত লোকদের প্রভু, ইস্রায়েলের ঈশ্বরের সেবায নিযোজিত হতে আদেশ দিলেন|
KJV : And he repaired the altar of the LORD, and sacrificed thereon peace offerings and thank offerings, and commanded Judah to serve the LORD God of Israel.
YLT : And he buildeth the altar of Jehovah, and sacrificeth upon it sacrifices of peace-offerings and thank-offering, and saith to Judah to serve Jehovah, God of Israel;
RV : And he built up the altar of the LORD, and offered thereon sacrifices of peace offerings and of thanksgiving, and commanded Judah to serve the LORD, the God of Israel.

ERVEN : Then he set up the Lord's altar and offered fellowship offerings and thank offerings on it. He gave a command for all the people of Judah to serve the Lord, the God of Israel.

BNV : লোকরা উচ্চস্থলীতে বলি দিলেও তারা তা একমাত্র তাদের প্রভু ঈশ্বরের উদ্দেশ্যেই দিতেন|

BNV : মনঃশি আর যা কিছু করেছিলেন, ঈশ্বরের প্রতি তাঁর প্রার্থনা বা প্রভু ইস্রায়েলের ঈশ্বরের নামে যে সমস্ত ভাব্বাদী তাঁর সঙ্গে কথাবার্তা বলেছিলেন সে সবই ‘ইস্রায়েলের রাজাদের সরকারী নথিপত্র’তে লিপিবদ্ধ আছে|
